Empty Bowl Project

2023 Salado Empty Bowl Project

Salado Empty Bowl will be 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Salado Middle School cafeteria. There is ample parking at the Middle School and guest can enter through either the front or back doors. The fund-raiser features soups from many of the Salado restaurants and bed and breakfast inns coupled with a take home pottery bowl from local potters and students from the Salado ISD.

Guests can purchase a ticket for soup alone (16 oz) for $12 or soup and a pottery bowl of their choice for $22 per person. There will also be a TO GO option for $12 for a 16 oz container of your favorite soup for those who wish to participate in the fundraiser but are unable to dine in or would prefer to pick-up their soup.

Most of the restaurants and inns in Salado participate in the Empty Bowl by offering up their signature soups for the event. When you come, you can have as many different soups as you like. Desserts and water will also be provided with each meal.

Proceeds from Empty Bowl benefit the Salado Family Relief Fund, established in 1996 as a non-profit tax deductible organization.

Since then, Salado Family Relief has helped thousands of children in the Salado area during Christmas time and back-to-school.

Each year, the Salado Family Relief Fund provides Christmas for more than 150 children in Salado ISD. It also provides back-to-school vouchers for clothing and supplies to 150 students each fall.

Salado Family Relief Fund receives no tax dollars and relies entirely on contributions of money and in-kind services from local individuals, churches, civic organizations, businesses and groups..
